Biographical Info
I’ve lived in North Carolina all of my life (UNC-Chapel Hill Class of ’82) with vacation homes in Raleigh, the coast and the North Carolina mountains. I currently reside at Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. My professional career in healthcare allowed me to travel nationwide, and with daughters in Ecuador and Washington, DC, I continue to enjoy traveling. I am open to traveling outside of the southeast region.
For the past 20 years, I have been prolifically involved with entertaining, floral design and local charity leadership. A few years ago, several friends invited me to manage their Bed and Breakfasts while they were away – and I have fallen in love with the experience! I believe my job is to create a space for your guests where they feel comfortable and special – in the same manner that you would. Many of my guests have never experienced a Bed and Breakfast – and I strive to insure they have the best experience possible. It’s important to be accessible to our guests, but also allow them the personal space they need to enjoy the Inn and the community. It is also important for me to research the area so that I can provide more detailed information for guests regarding local community activities, restaurants and events as needed.
As a professional, I have exceedingly strong skills in communication, leadership with a team, problem-solving and organization. I enjoy working with your staff and have developed great relationships with the support team. I always pitch in to support their efforts to do a great job. You will find me outgoing, friendly, responsible, even keeled and welcoming.
In addition to my gourmet breakfast menus, I am happy to utilize your personal recipes and host afternoon Happy Hour if that is part of your offering. I hold my certification with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, am a member of the Interim Innkeepers Association and a certified floral designer. I look forward to being a part of your team!
